As your practice unfolds, you learn to quiet the mind, understand your limitations, and ways to overcome them, and turn your weaknesses into strengths.

How quickly you progress will depend entirely on you-upon your natural ability to a small extent but also on the time and effort you give to your practice. With time, patience, and practice you will begin to feel your optimum self. In yoga, little has to do with how perfect you can do a postures. (Few of us ever do the postures perfectly). Instead it will have to do with how well you understand what you are trying to accomplish in each posture, how you try to accomplish your goal and how supple your muscles and joints become in comparison to when you began.

In Yoga there is no comparison , except to yourself. To be "Perfect" in Yoga means to do the best that you can for that day. Listening to your body, honoring it, and accepting it. Remember that every day is a different day on your mat.
